195,976 SQUARE FEET

Esterly, Schneider has worked with governments and municipalities throughout Southwest Missouri.  Projects include the City of Battlefield’s Community Center and Police Department, the Transportation Management Center (the City of Springfield’s first U.S. Green Building Council’s certified LEED Gold building), and the Heer’s Car Park at the Southeast corner of Olive and Campbell.

In conjunction with The City of Springfield and MoDOT, Esterly, Schneider designed Heer’s Car Park.  At 195,976 square feet, it is a 375 space vehicular parking garage on five levels of parking deck.  Two levels were deisgned to connect directly back to the Heer’s Tower by a glass sky walk.

The prestressed, precast parking garage is anchored on both ends by vertical stairways with a clear anodized aluminum storefront system and a blue glass façade.  The corner of the parking garage is emphasized by a massive column cover that is also made with a clear anodized finish and extends to the top of the last deck at the street intersection.  The curved roofs at the top of the stairways create a focus back to the car park and complete the tall vertical towers.

108,000,000 MEMBERS

According to the Credit Union National Association, 33.5% of Americans are members of a Credit Union.  That is equal to 108,200,000 members! One of those Credit Unions in Southwest Missouri is BluCurrent Credit Union.  BluCurrent boasts a membership of 20,613 as of April 30, 2017 and continues to grow substantially every year.

Our Firm had the privilege to design the BluCurrent Operations Center at Sunset and Kansas to assist in the facilitation of their strong growth.  The addition to their existing location centralized the administrative offices, allowing for better access to its services by Credit Union members.

The addition also included offices for the Management/Administration, Lending Services, Member Services, Support Services, Accounting Service, Marketing Services, Training Services and Information Systems along with incorporating a new board room, large training room and several conference rooms.

26,000 STUDENTS

Esterly, Schneider has worked with educational institutions throughout Southwest Missouri.  Projects have included Hillcrest High School and Fremont Elementary for the Springfield R-12 School District, the Ozark High School Wrestling Building, and numerous projects at Missouri State University.

At Missouri State University, as you enter the campus from National, you will see the Welcome Sign designed by our firm and if you visit Morris Hall, you can see the renovations we designed for the Foreign Language Institute.  In 2016, 26,000 students enrolled at Missouri State, and these individuals are the future for our community.  We are grateful to be a small part of making their experience in higher education something that will benefit them and those whose lives they will impact over the years to come.

4 STORIES BY INTERSTATE 44

Next time you are making a trip to St Louis to see a Cardinal’s game, look to your left when passing through Waynesville and see the 4 stories by Interstate 44, home to Phelps County Regional Medical Center’s Waynesville Clinic.  Completed in 2015, this 58,820 S.F. Healthcare Facility for Phelps County Regional Medical Center is a medical resource center for the Waynesville community, and the surrounding areas, where this type of high level care was previously unavailable.

The building’s lowest floor consists of a sleep lab, community room, and areas that may be utilized for future expansion. The first floor has a pharmacy, full imaging suite, including state of the art MRI, CT & X-Ray Equipment and also includes a convenient care clinic.  The second floor houses a fully staffed medical clinic with a women’s wellness center and the third floor provides rehabilitation services as well as an open floor area for additional expansion.

365 DAYS

Open through rain, sleet, snow, the dog days of summer, and the deep freeze of January, Andy’s Frozen Custard is one of those guilty pleasures that hits the spot no matter the weather!  For the cold winter months the overhead heaters make the atmosphere as you walk up to place your order a wonderful break from the cold.  In summer, the patio is bustling with patrons taking their time enjoying a tasty Andy’s treat and getting a much needed break from the heat.

Our firm has had the pleasure of working with Andy’s over the years, from their first stores in Springfield to the new stores opening for business in new locations across the country.  Now, if you have the craving for a James Brownie Funky Jackhammer, and you are in Wichita, KS or attending the Annual Fall Festival in Blue Springs, MO, there is an Andy’s just around the corner!

Now are you hungry and want to know where the nearest Andy’s is located?  Check out http://www.eatandys.com/all-locations to find a convenient location.  Then, while you eat your Snowmonster Concrete, check out our Andy’s project page at www.esterlyschneider.com/portfolio/andys and read a little more about our work with Andy’s Frozen Custard!

OVER THE EDGE

On Saturday, June 3, Thom Lundberg, one of the firm’s partners, will be participating in Over the Edge – rappelling off the top of the Sky Eleven Building in Downtown Springfield to support the Child Advocacy Center (CAC).  90 individuals will be making the drop for the CAC, which provides investigative services for child abuse victims and works collectively toward the treatment and prosecution of each case.

Over the Edge “is a once-in-a-lifetime rappelling experience that will benefit the Child Advocacy Center. On June 3, 2017, (CAC is) partnering with Canadian-based adventure company, “Over the Edge.”  Participants will fundraise in exchange for the opportunity to rappel the Sky Eleven building in downtown Springfield. Over the Edge handles the technical aspects of the event while the CAC manages all other aspects of the day, all to raise money on behalf of child abuse victims in southwest and south central Missouri”.

In 2016, the Child Advocacy Center saw over 1,400 children who were suspected victims of child abuse. Through the work of investigators, staff, law enforcement, and volunteers, the CAC strives to meet its mission of placing the needs of the child first in the investigation of abuse.

The CAC has offices in Springfield and West Plains, MO, directly serving 16 counties in Southwest Missouri.

To find out more about the Child Advocacy Center please visit their website at www.childadvocacycenter.org and their Over the Edge page at www.childadvocacycenter.org/over-the-edge.

216 DRIVE THROUGH LANES

Beginning in the early 1950’s, our Firm began working with Financial Institutions across the Ozarks to help create innovative designs to serve their customers in the most effective and efficient ways possible.  The first bank the Firm designed was Union National Bank, which was located on the Southeast corner of Park Central Square in Downtown Springfield.

Since that time, we have worked with numerous institutions across the region and continue to help build the future of banks and credit unions across the region. We did the math, and over the past 20 years alone, we have built approximately 216 drive through lanes for financial institutions.

Here are some photos from our work over the recent years.  For more information and additional projects, please visit our portfolio section (www.esterlyschneider.com/portfolio/financial).
