On Saturday, September 30, Springfield will have two opportunities for you to enjoy a “Night at the Museum.”

You can join the Discovery Center of Springfield for their 2nd Annual Night at the Museum event which will allow you to “Be a mad scientist for the night as (you) celebrate science with food, fun, and discovery while supporting the Discovery Center’s work in providing STEM education to Southwest Missouri.” This event starts at 6pm and tickets may be purchased by going to

https://www.discoverycenter.org/pages/night_at_the_museum/ or calling 417-862-9910.

Esterly, Schneider & Associates is also proud to be the Presenting Sponsor for the Springfield Art Museum’s 99x: Gilded Coast Glamour.  You can join the fun “for the annual 99x (Times) Party, as we recreate glamorous Newport, Rhode Island, the seaside playground of the Vanderbilts, the Astors, and the Rockefellers.

This year’s event will raise funds to restore the glow to noted Luminist painter John Frederick Kensett’s Shore Landscape, Newport which was acquired by the Museum in 1949. Kensett was an influential member of the Hudson River School and a founder of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

99x: Gilded Coast Glamour is a costumed evening adorned and aglow with contemporary style and fashions inspired by Gilded Age Newport. As guests eat, drink, and dance the night away, they will encounter illuminated coastal murals and enter living art tableaus featuring modern takes on the historic interiors of Newport’s radiant mansions, as envisioned by the hottest local artists, tastemakers, and trendsetters.

Creative, lustrous cocktail attire encouraged. Join the revelry and help us bring this important painting back to life by bringing it “back to light.” #GiltGlam.

This event starts at 7pm.  You can receive more information and purchase tickets by visiting http://www.sgfmuseum.org/206/99x-Gilded-Coast-Glamour or by calling 417-837-5700.
